ABOUT THE GARDEN
In the spring of 2020, Locals Farm Market, Three Pears Productions, and Madison Fields joined forces to respond to increasing food insecurity in our community due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Garden at Madison Fields, nurtured by Locals Farm Market is a one-acre garden that fosters community through food donation, down-to-earth volunteer opportunities, agricultural education, and by supporting adults with autism and other differences in ability.
HOW WE HELP
- We partner with several organizations working to improve food security in our community. They include Manna Food Center, Black Rock Hub, WUMCO, Community Farm Share, and others.
- In 2020, we provided 4,000lbs of produce to food insecure households in our community.
- In 2021, we expect to provide 6,000lbs of produce.
